Check in for morning exams will be promptly at 7:30 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. for afternoon exams and will take approximately 30 minutes. Exam administration for morning exams begins at 8:00am, and for afternoon exams begins at 12:15pm. Students who report after exam administration begins will not be admitted. No exceptions. Exams will take approximately 4 hours (calculated from check in time). Please notify your coaches of AP Test dates and times and plan accordingly. Students will not be allowed to leave the test early.
- Students who have self-studied or independently prepared for an AP Exam will need to apply for permission to test. Approval is not automatic or guaranteed. Please email apexamservices@gmail.com for assistance in finding a space to take a self-studied exam.
- Exams administration locations will vary depending on space availability and needs. Almost all exams will take place at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. Students should register based on the subject that they want to test for, and then they will be assigned to a location. Specific locations and information will be posted on the this website under "Exam Day Information" on this site in April. Parking information will be posted on this site as well.
- World Language and Music Theory exams: Due to space limitations connected to recording equipment, these exams will also entail a schedule of recordings and therefor may run longer than other exams. Students are advised to bring with them a snack and bottled water (in a plastic carrying bag.)
- Students must bring their picture ID cards (School or Driver's license), two #2 pencils, pens, erasers, and calculators (if applicable – see AP Security Rules for approved types) with fresh batteries to the AP test room. Without picture ID a student may not be admitted. CELL PHONES, BACKPACKS, PURSES OR BAGS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN TESTING CENTERS. We recommend those are left at home or in your vehicle.
- By submitting payment for an Exam, students agree to adhere to the Test Site Regulations for the duration of the exam period. Consequences include removal from exam and cancellation of scores. See Test Site Security Regulations for specific details.
- Cancellation of AP Exams: Students may cancel their AP exam registration and receive a full refund if their cancellation request is submitted in writing and dated before midnight, October 25, 2018. After October 25 and before midnight on February 28, cancellation will result in only the cost of administration being refunded ($40). No refunds will be issued for cancellations after February 28. No shows on exam day are not eligible for a refund. To cancel an exam, please email cancel@aptestservice.com and include the student name, the CCHS school name, and the title of the exam you wish to cancel.
- Please note the following registration restrictions set by College Board:
- A student may not register for BOTH the AP Calculus AB and BC exams in the same calendar year.
- Only students who have complete the AP Computer Science Principles in-course assessments can take the Computer Science Principles AP Exam.
- College Board is extremely strict regarding qualifying for rescheduling an AP exam to the Late Testing (make-up window.) In addition, the reason for requesting late testing must also meet the local school guidelines for excused absences. Approved reasons to reschedule an exam include: extreme illness (hospitalization or medical care, a doctor's note will be required), bereavement, court appearance, a school sponsored trip or activity, or conflict with another AP exam. Students are NOT eligible for Late Testing for reasons such as: family trips, conflict with an in-class exam or activity, having selected the incorrect AP exam subject when you submitted your order.
